Buckeye Interactive Continues Company Growth with Two Additional Web Developers

NEW ALBANY, Ohio (March 6, 2013) – The Buckeye Interactive team increases and improves development by hiring two additional web developers, Mike Butsko and Josh Costello, to its expanding team.

Mike is a PHP/Ruby Web Developer and Administrator from Columbus, Ohio. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from The Ohio State University, he spent four years working for The Graham Family of Schools as an IT Coordinator. He also spent an additional 16 months developing a large multisite Drupal platform and other WordPress, PHP, and Ruby on Rails projects for The College of Arts and Sciences at OSU.

“As a developer, I want what most developers want; the ideal combination of semantic code, reasonable test coverage efficiency, and elegance of design,” Butsko said. “My past work with Drupal, as a platform for a large collection of similar but distinct Academic Uni websites, was primarily positive, and what a system like Drupal has going for it is a passionate, devoted community.”

Outside of work, he is a husband and father, and enjoys spending as much time as possible running around the house on adventures and enjoying the outdoors. Often he is in the process of training for a distance run.

Josh grew up in Hamilton, Ohio, and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a concentration in Interactive Media Studies. Prior to working at Buckeye, he was an Application Designer for the Columbus Metropolitan Library, where he played a key role in UX design for the site’s re-launch in February 2012.

“I am passionate about web design and development and believe that anything worth putting on screen takes time, planning, and execution that make no compromises,” Costello said.

He is an avid hockey and baseball fan as he cheers for the Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Avalanche. In 2008 Josh won a national championship in broomball, a sport he plays in his free time. He also enjoys Frisbee golf, art galleries, reading, and building furniture.

“The growth of our team this year has also led to a growth in our company’s strength, work ethic, and product output. I am excited to welcome Mike and Josh to the team and I look forward to Buckeye’s continuous progress,” Brad Griffith, CEO, said.
